Roof cleaning and cedar shingle cleaning in Scraggy Neck, Falmouth, Ma
This full exterior house cleaning was recently completed in Falmouth, Ma. A to Z Softwash was hired to clean all of the asphalt shingles, they were covered in black streaks (bacteria) and since the bacteria colonies had spread rapidly it had also attracted other growths like lichen and moss.
The first step of this process involved us preparing the grounds around the home for our process. We pre wet all of the plantings so they had plenty of water, when plants have had lots to drink they are far less apt to absorb anything from our cleaning solution. We also covered the more sensitive bushes (Hydrangeas, Roses) with a covering that keeps them dry but also does not allow heat to build up while they are covered in the hot sun. After that preparation was completed the cleaning process begins! Our cleaning solution is applied with our custom built cleaning system which applies all of our cleaners at a water pressure that is less than the average garden hose. Once the application is completed on the roof all of the growths have been killed, the bacteria goes away instantly and the cedar has been restored and looks 20 years newer. The cedar is neutralized after the cleaning to stop the cleaning process and neutralize the PH level.
